Who We Are
Lazy River Village is a vibrant, friendly, 55+ gated community in Sarasota County, Florida. Located on the banks of the Myakka River, residents can enjoy our beautiful scenery and many water activities year round.
Amenities
Amenities at Lazy River Village include a large, up-to-date clubhouse with a band stand and dance floor, library, two craft rooms, video projector for sports events, our card room, and a restaurant-grade kitchen. We also enjoy a large swimming pool, modern fitness center, billiards room, tennis, bocce and pickle-ball courts, pitching/putting green with outdoor driving net, shuffleboard court, horseshoe pitch, marina (38 docks and 2 canoe/kayak racks) and a busy, well-stocked woodshop.
Activities
Lazy River’s clubs cater to users of all the above facilities as well as other activities including sewing, aqua-fit, art and stained glass, yoga, music and choral singing.
Location
Our location on the Myakka River provides us with access to Charlotte Harbor, the inter-coastal waterway with all its waterfront venues, and finally the Gulf of Mexico, for those who like sport fishing. Over 100 units have docks with instant access to the river.
